Hey everyone. I had a Bluetooth wireless keyboard from Apple. It randomly stopped working and I went back to the Apple store that I bought it from with my new iMac and they swapped it out for me as a new(maybe refurbished) bluetooth wireless keyboard like I had. Now my problem is, is that I put my computer to sleep before I went to the Apple store with my old bluetooth keyboard, I came home and now I cant enter my password because my iMac doesn't recognize my new bluetooth keyboard. How do I fix this? I have my restoration dvd's and thought about just doing a restore with time machine but thats a pain in the A** for such a simple problem(hopefully!)
Thanks for your help!!!

Borrow a wired usb keyboard from someone that needs no pairing or drivers and use that to get in. Apple usb keyboard should be right of the bat no drivers. I don't remember any of mine requiring drivers.

Then after you're back in pair the new keyboard and return the borrowed one. And walla. And if it happens again just borrow the wired keyboard again and do the same thing.

Borrow one or buy it from the apple store. Then return it 3 days later say it didn't work or your mom already got you one from another store and you didn't realize. As long as you have all the packaging they generally take it back. Heck they even resell the returned computers as refurbished so they should take back a keyboard. Even if you decide to keep it it's always handy for emergencies, if it happens again or your battrery runs down.

I broke down and went to Apple tonight and bought a wired keyboard...not sure if i'm going to return it or not but at least I'm now typing from my iMac again! Ahhhh, feels nice!
