I've been using my new Mac Pro (4 core) for about 4 months now, but since it is just above minimum spec (the 24 inch iMac just didn't quite cut it), I've been looking at ways to improve the speed for video editing. I was helped out earlier by a member of this forum, agreeing with me that booting the OS from a new, faster, smaller HD would be a good idea, while I could store my media files on my current HD.
However, I'm very new to this, and I'm in no way an engineer. I've messed with RAM and the like, but nothing too serious. So, are there any tutorials on the internet that anyone could recommend, or tips that you'd like to give me?
Also, I'm probably going to go with a WD Raptor 150gb Drive.
Thanks in advance,
Max
