I am pretty annoyed right now. Just want to vent it.
I bought a core 2 duo 20 iMac with 2 gb ram, 256 vram and wireless keyboard, on the 3rd of october.
The computer (1) came but it was making weird noises and kernal paniced quite a lot. It was returned for replacement
Computer 2: This came and it kernal paniced and destroyed my harddrive (wouldnt boot master.pswd missing in the first instance then just grey folder icon a couple of days later)
Computer 3: Came with a dark area slap bang in the middle of the screen (as if knocked extremely hard) and a damaged case - seems like the back might fall off.
Computer 4: Working fine yesterday night and come this morning, wont boot up. The screen remains off and the LED just flashes very brightly very quickly.
Good job they let me keep computer 3 until computer 4 had come. So currently i have two iMacs one dead and the other with a damaged screen and case.
Called apple and they said usually they stop sending out replacements at this point and would refer me to an apple service provider. Like it is my fault they are sending me duff machines. I all my conversations will apple managers have failed to call me back on three seperate instances.
Currently they are sending me another computer and when that comes (assuming it is alright) they will talk about good will gesters. However if it is faulty then they are going to give me a refund and no good will gester and no computer.
I am really quite annoyed at how they ahve treated me, it seems as if they are taking responsibility for the fact that they are the ones who are sending me fautly computers, it is not my fault at all. Anybody with any experience as to what this good will gester might be.
Apart from all this the computer is amazing in regards to my old iMac (G5 1gb Ram rev A) so much faster it is ridiculous and so much more capable. If only they sort out Finder multitasking in Leopard it will be leaps and bounds ahead of the G5.
