The invitation doesn’t offer any new details on the upcoming smartphone, but the hashtag #YULaunch confirms that the Cyanogen-powered device is on the way. Micromax also teases the device with the words “Play God,” which could be a reference to Cyanogen’s many customization options. The company recently unveiled a new Themes app that makes it easy to tweak the way its software looks.

We’re still pretty much in the dark on the hardware side of things. However, recent quotes from Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma suggest it will be a high-end device. “The phone is going to be a monster,” he told 91mobiles, adding that it’s going to offer “really cool specs.”

I've been following this product, it sounds interesting.

It wouldn't be surprising if OnePlus is upset since they were claiming an exclusive with CyanogenMod. Yet the disaster that was created by the hated invite system was a bad move and may have caused CM to react in the manor they did.

One thing a respected owner of a big company once said. "Longevity is important and respected"

It seems since Cyanogen went public, they first went to that phone company that made the large phone, with the camera that swiveled on the top. Then to OnePlus, and now burned that bridge, and now to some Indian cell phone carrier.

The more they jump around from different company to different company, the more it hurts them, and eventually could out them out of business altogether, and make them irrelevant. They need to stick to one company, and do a great job, and stop jumping ship so quick.
