New FB Timeline

I don't like that stalker ticker in the last update, but I have to admit, the timeline is kinda cool.

how to put the timeline on your profile before it's official

I'm talking about the new profile though, with the timeline enabled. Makes the profile page look like a diary

The idea of having your entire history presented for all to see is scary! This is why I barely use my FB page.

I suspect there will be a some demand for Apple the implement the use of FB's timeline... but given previous suggestions it probably won't happen.

Timeline integration would be rather neat I think:

I could get a feed of what my friends are listening to on iTunes/iPod App, watching, buying from iTunes and app store. If my friend has just bought an app and I send them a quick message or ask them if it is any good next time I see them.

Yep, if you are on Facebook, you already have your entire history presented for all to see. The Timeline feature just makes it easier and quicker for people to navigate while presenting it in a visually appealing way. Also, you can choose which posts you want featured in your Timeline or hide them altogether; better options than the way it currently is.

I normally really hate Facebook, but for me it is a necessary evil; hate the way they constantly change little things for [seemingly] no reason, but I have to admit, I am really liking this Timeline feature. From a designer's point of view, it just looks really nice. If you have a developer's account, you can activate it now. Below is a screenshot from my own Facebook wall/timeline if you haven't seen what the layout looks like yet.

I really think this may change the way people interact with Facebook in general and make it a much more enjoyable experience (hopefully!)
