Hello,

So, after being addicted to WoW for... 6 months, and with college/university coming next year, I have decided that I need a new game. What I am pretty much looking for is something that I can pick up and play for 20 minutes once and a while, or when I have time to be able to play for 4 hours and up without getting bored. I have found WoW to be a huge time consumer, and you can't really play for 20 minutes.

Recommendations? It can be for PC or Mac.

TrackMania Nations is lots of fun for a completely free game. I usually play for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. Just go to their website and check it out, it is for pc.

Call of Duty 4 is really good, and has really good online play, I have seen my roommate play it, and have played a little on his computer myself. I am just waiting for the mac version to come out, then I will probably get that. Should be released in April or May for mac and is already out for pc.

Spore is coming in September, right after you start school. If I were you I would save money for that, because I am pretty sure that it just might be the game of the year.

Unreal Tournament 3 should be rolling out for mac soon and is also out for pc.

Eve Online is seeming to get pretty good reviews, if you still feel like paying a monthly fee to pay a game.

Startcraft 2 will be coming out for mac and pc sometime this year as well.

Tomb Raider Anniversary for mac is out. I might be getting that if I get some extra dollars sometime.

Check out Kill Monty. just...check it out. For mac

And of course, Peggle. For mac or pc or iPod.

I'll have to look into Starcraft 2. Is battlenet confirmed for it like WC3?

Also, what about Civ 4? Good game to look at?

Civ IV is pretty great but I doubt you can play for 20 minutes and let go , a regular game on a standard map lasts about 4 hours for me, if I dare go for Domination or Conquest victory then the game can drag for a long time but since it's turn based and you think you have the willpower I think it wouldn't be bad for quick bouts.

A game I would recommend for short bouts is Audiosurf, it's only $10 on Steam and is a pretty unique experience but I can only play a few songs (maybe 30 minutes?) before I get tired of it but it's always a perfect game to fire up in a rush.

Maybe an Action RPG like Dungeon Siege II or Titan Quest? Multiplayer shooters like Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4 are also fun in small amounts but can also be played for great lengths of time without getting tiring.

You could always get a DS and the Phoenix Wright games :D
