i currently have a Dual 2.0 Powermac with 1.5 GB Ram, Radeon 9600, WD Raptor 37GB 10,000rpm with Tiger Loaded, 160 SATA secondary drive and a NEC 3500-AG 16X DVD writer. Now i seen the new imac with Front Row and built in iSight and just love it! What I'm asking is if i sell my Powermac now and get the new iMac will i see a huge performance hit? I do plan on upgrading the ram to atleast 1GB or more. I basically surf the web do some downloading, occassional HD video viewing and editing, and music creation, but rarely play any games. The machine I have now suits me well but i love how the iMac takes up barely any space, and I could use all the extra room i can get. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

If you have CHUD tools installed, you can disable the second processor on the PM and then do some of the tasks you usually do and see the difference. I know there are other differences between the two macs, but at least you'll see how the other half lives with only one cpu.
