Just got my new imac 20" delivered to my workplace today.

I must say that I'm totally impressed by this thing. So glad I switched to Mac...

Great design, saves tonnes of desktop space and the screen is unbelievable!

what I upgraded from

I just upgraded from a Win XP box with an Athlon 2600+ processor w/768 MB of ram.

The speed difference is quite noticeable and I like the fact that my new mac occupies about 1/5 the desktop space of my windows PC.

I only recently became very fond of mac and I have no regrets buying my new computer.

So kick ass nice!

yep, just don't get depressed when apple decides to upgrade the gfx early next year! :D
I doubt it'll make any real difference.

Congrats on the purchase, stevescivic! The iMac's are hard to beat when it comes to their combination of performance, size, and aesthetics, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it for a long time.

new imac 20"

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes I love this mac and yes I feel that they are an all round better computer than the traditional windows machine. I am actually not 100% new to the mac osX. Last year I purchased an ibook G4 and owned it for about a month before I brought it back to the store (not b/c it wasn't good but I couldn't quite afford it with school at the time). Love it the whole time.

Now that I'm working full time I finally got my a mac again and I would never look back at getting anything else. Real nice computer and now that the price has dropped it makes it that much more attractive to purchase.

I will be looking into getting myself a macbook hopefully by next year when more funds become availabe.

The screen on this 20" imac is amazing!

One thing that I noticed with the mac is that at some resolutions it doesn't seem nearly as sharp as it is at the max resolution.

Anyone else have this problem with their 20" imacs?

thanks

Welcome to Mac!

The native resolution always look better.

If you want more HD space I would recomend you to reinstall everything and in the "Customize" option, deselect the other languages and printer drivers you don't plan to use.
