I just bought a brand new iMac. The real estate is sweet and I enjoy the speed, but I am surprised at how blurry everything seems. Is this a typical response for a 1920 x 1080 resolution?

I am actually thinking about bringing it back, but I don't want to suffer the 15% restocking fee from Best Buy...

You should be okay. None of the Best Buys in my area or state are doing the restocking fees anymore. Been a year since they started that.

As I was checking out, one of the employees slapped a sticker on the box reading something to the effect of, "14 day return-policy, 15% restocking-fee if opened."

didnt you try one before buying it? It's an IPS panel, which can seem a bit blurry to some people. just google the IPS technology.

OSX also renders fonts differently than Windows. Text can appear a bit blurry to a lot of people when they switch to a Mac. I notice this myself.

i haven't noticed it but i'm on a 27" imac. is it on websites or on everything?

I know this might sound obvious but you sure you're running it at the full resolution?

running a tft at lower than the native resolution would result in blurry imagery

Yes, I am using the full resolution and am getting used to its embossed appearance. I just can't get out of my head the super crisp and clear display on the 27...

Thanks!
