New iMac 27 iSync problem!!

just got in my first Mac.. dont really know much about them yet.. i have been using a all in one dell for the last 3 years.. anyways, i am having problems getting my iphone 4 to sync with isync. they find each other no problem but says it cant be synced.. can anyone help me out with this? i dont even know what i can do with isync.. thanks
 
what is isync? what all am i supposed to be able to do with it? i might be trying to do something that cant even be done.. someone told me that i can sync my iphone to this imac without having to hook it up via the usb cable for the iphone... is this possible?
