New iMac at Best Buy or Circuit City???

I am ready to buy a new imac and have a bunch of credit at both of these stores from my crecit card program. While I am not I big fan of either of these stores, I do want to use these credits towards the imac.

Any idea when they will carry the new imac? I see Best Buy still shows the old model online. In the past what is the lag time for these stores to get a new apple product vs. the Apple retail stores?

i'm pretty sure circuit city doesn't carry apple computers. i bought my mini from best buy 2 years ago. no complaints. got it delivered in a reasonable amount of time.

comp usa carries apple products, i dont know if ive heard of circuit city carrying them though.

A Circuit City store in the Orlando area had an iMac the other day and Best Buy stores here generally have one or more machines with one store having something more elaborate.

Since they just got those, I wouldn't count on those going anywhere for a few weeks. CompUSA has dedicated areas and they still take a long time to stock the new machines.

The local Apples stores didn't even have them out the day of the announcement.

The nearest Apple Store is 40mi away, but I really want to see this iMac screen before I spend any more time considering buying it...

To be on the safe side so you don't waste a trip, you could call the store you're planning on going to and ask whether they have them in stock.
