ok so, my 3.06gz iMac (nvidia, 750gb) is on the way and will be at my door step tomorrow!!! :D Time to bury my powerbook g4 R.I.P. So i have an OEM vista courtesy of Newegg. My question is, what are the must have downloads/applications I should have running on my Vista partition? The plan is to use it for very very light gaming ( hardly once a week) and 3d graphics design (no web surfing or emailing what so ever).

Also is there a way to have my windows partion and my OSX read from the same iTunes library using MacDrive? Will it work on both if lets say I delete or rip songs in Vista and then when I open OSX they will be in there??

hey tell me if vista works on it!!! is it 64bit vista or 32bit

the must have software on pc IS defenatly THE ORANGE BOX ( HALF LIFE 2 WITH ALL EPISODES, Team fortrest 2, portal)

from then on pritty much anygame you can buy is not as stelar as the orange box.

because its five games in one!!! for 40 dollars now!!! :D

it uses a game engine from 6 years ago, so I think you computer should be able to run all the games on high.

will you have an internet connection?? cause that would not be good for team fortres 2, because it is only an online game.

also I can recomend counter strike source, but it too is an online only game.

Thanx for the advice, I can actually get Orange Box from my companies corporate website with the "points" that I've earned. So far I've ordered UT3 and am waiting for CoD4 (native) to be offered some time in July. Going to try out Crysis as well, I've seen people playing it on YouTube w/o my setup and it didn't look TOO bad. We'll see.
Anyway, thanx for the suggestion. I was actually more curious as far as software/utilities that might help performance of Vista. Maybe spam and virus protection (stupid PCs) and that sort. This will be the first time i've ever allowed anything Micro$oft into my house. That's not to say i have my experience / horror stories with windows.
