New iMac handle latest windows games?

Depends on whether anybody bothers to give you a useful answer bro ! 
Guys why not make an intelligent guess and assume the dude means the new top end iMac with the 8800 ..... and wishes to get through GTA4 ..... at a frame rate which would be acceptable for enjoyable game-play ??

I can tell you that next week, when I'll receive my new iMac with the NVIDIA 8800, 4GB RAM and 2.8GHz* and try out Crysis and Assassin's Creed under Vista x64.
*as the difference between the old 2.4GHz and 2.8GHz iMacs resulted in only 1-2 fps in game performance tests (read barefeats.com), I opted for the cheaper 2.8GHz model with the NVIDIA GPU and maximum RAM.

You might run into problems running your games in Vista 64-bit. I've seen a few posts in the apple forums saying there are no drivers for the 8800GS in Vista 64-bit yet!

My sons both have the previous gen Alu iMac (20", 2.4) and they play many of the above games. CoD4 plays well on medium settings, Crysis plays OK on medium settings (better with some things turned down), Orange Box plays beautifuly on full settings (my daughter's mini can play Gary's Mod and HL2).
Just remember to turn AA/AF off. The 8800GS iMac should be a step above the HD2600 based ones.
Is there any reason to go for vista over XP? I've got legit copies of both, but I thought vista was a little slower for games than XP.
I'd only really think vista was any better than XP for its nicer user interface but as I only intend (as I expect many do) to use it for games that doesn't really matter. Am I missing a good reason to go for vista as my bootcamp?
As for GTA4, its not on the pc so that won't run, but any pc games should run very well. I'd love to see more people posting exactly how well with lots of details as has been done in the thread CWallace has linked too.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I guess I'll wait a bit until someone figures out how to do it (or Apple deliveres an update).
You are forgetting DirectX 10, which is a good reason to go for Vista if you intend to play games
I did ponder that, but dx10 considerably slows games down and if the iMac GPU really is a GS then it probably can't handle any game with in dx10 when running at native resolution and considering dx10 doesn't really give truly massive benefits to many games (certainly not compared to running at a higher resolution) then I'm not sure its worth it for an iMac. Certainly for a high end gaming pc, but the iMac is far from that. I dunno...
Be good to see some crysis benchmarks in dx9 and dx10 detailing what fps at what resolution/detail settings, but I expect it'll be quite some time before we get those sorts of results.
I initially had some issues running Wow on Mac OS side (low framerate) but it seemed to be a one-day thing. The game runs fine in Mac OS and pins the framerate to 60 in Windows XP with full settings (I use vsync).

I got my 24" 13 days prior to the update, and I opted to get a $200 refund rather than driving back to the store, paying the restocking fee, and getting the updated model. (Not to mention how much time it would have taken to backup, nuke, and reinstall the returned computer, then restore all my stuff to the new new one.)
I'm happy with how Oblivion, The Orange Box, and Bioshock run. I don't run at max res, since 1920x1200 is a very high resolution, I use 1280x768 with 2x AA and most settings at max. They play fine. I don't have UT3 or Crysis though.

How is the GeForce 8800 iMac any different from GeForce 8800 Dell?
