As title says, I have a first-gen MacBook Pro 2.0 Core Duo laptop that I run in clamshell mode on a 20" cinema display with the new iMac keyboard.

I love the keyboard and everything about it, but I can't control the volume anymore. The laptop keys still do the trick, but the volume keys on the keyboard just beep at me.

I've run the latest software update, nothing outstanding. Checking again now...

Any suggestions? I poked around System Preferences, but couldn't find anywhere to remap them.

Thanks in advance.

System Preferences->Keyboard&Mouse->Keyboard

Then untick Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys.

I don't know if that's your problem but it is what got it going it for me.
