I like it, but the stand doesn't look too stable:)

Also, I would rather see the screen moved to the top, and the "chin" larger, rather than the screen centered. Maybe that's because I'm use to the current model.

The stand looks about as stable as the current model, and I'm hoping they get rid of the "chin" all together :)

In my imagination
I think it sucks and too much people are doped up on iPhone juice. The iPhone was wonderful, now it's out and the hype is over. We don't need to see iPhone looking iPods, iMacs, and MacPros. The only way the iMac will look better is if Apple keeps it white and makes it thinner, or breaks away from the monitor on a stand design completely and makes some thing totally revolutionary.

That Snarf stuff looks sick wicked though. :D

I actually like that mockup it looks kind of cool. Kind of. That would be really nice(although maybe a bit to big in the 24" and I guess 20") if you could take it off and use it around the house like a tablet pc(maybe only 17" would be viable)

You almost had me, I was ready to take out my flaming on you! lol

Nice mock up, good to see in the future but looks bland since non of the stuff are shown well, metal, plastic , still great cocept.

Heh, that faux website is pretty amusing, I like the random headlines cycling.

I've been jonesing for a new iMac since January and while that mock-up is pretty snazzy, it looks more like a monitor than an actual computer. I'd still buy one ^_~

"No escape from Reality...”
(clicks on "Locked in Space" video short, after watching laughs out LOUD in the middle of the coffeeshop, sends a copy to NASA...)

Like the iPod 6G videos - looks pretty close, only a matter of time before Apple asks to take it down.

Careful, talent enclosed...

Very cool look, I've always thougth an iMac that looked like my iPhone would be great, but multitouch? I would never want a touchscreen computer monitor (why on Earth would Apple include that functionality?). What's the point of touching your monitor when you have the best input devices for PCs - the mouse and keyboard? Makes sense on a phone, (small, handheld, space real estate is prime). Makes no sense on a home/office computer.

They could make the touch element the keyboard rather than the screen.

The keyboard could then adapt to the program that was running eg if viewing pictures, the number pad would vanish and allow for the zooming with two fingers the way you do on the iPhone... Just a though.

This would give the best of both worlds. I think the keyboard would take a lot of getting use to but would be the best way of delivering touch capabilites to the iMac.

The keyboard would also look pretty cool if it just looked like a keyboard size version of the iPhone:cool:

Agreed, keep the white, loose the chin.

Not what I'm expecting but I'd be happy with an iMac that looked like this. It is very hard to predict where they will go with the design, but such a change would definitely define a new era in Mac design. My only fear is that it is too close to the HP touchsmart in terms of colours and materials.

I went on that HP, it was running vista and seemed to take forever to respond to touches. Takes much longer to do stuff than with just a keyboard and mouse.
