New IMAC love it but i need to customise the toolbar

Hello...

I am a new mac user so please be patient!!

How can i customise the folders so that when i open a folder and then open a subfolder , not to open a new window? You get what i mean? I want to be able to have a back button instead of getting a new window for every subfolder to open! Its tiring..

How can i do this...i already added back and forth buttons from the customise toolbar but they dont work....do i have to do something else?

Activate Finder, press CMD+, or select Preferences from the menu bar under Finder. Then uncheck "Always open folders in a new window".

Change your view type with the 3 buttons at middle top of ur open window
