New iMac not running very well?

Hi

A Few days ago I upgraded my old 20 inch iMac ( 2.0 GHz 4 gb RAM ) to the new 27 inch 3.06 GHz iMac . The problem I am having is my new iMac seems slower than my old one! With my old iMac I would never turn it off for weeks at a time and it never seemed to affect it but with the new iMac I am having to reset it every day or the hole thing start slowing down ( magnification on the dock is jumpy and minimising windows is slow ) After the reset everything is fine until 24hrs latter. Any ideas? Also it just feels slower ( not much ) with every day tasks.

No; the i7 has HT, but won't ship until next month.

No hyperthreading on the dual core model.

It's probably just more of Apple's cruddy software/drivers in action. Snow Leopard has absolutely sucked on both my mac mini and macbook pro 15". I imagine your problems will eventually be solved in an update.

Installed Rosetta?

Most of the apps are universal, but i'm wondering if some of the deprecated functions on the Intel side might be causing problems with the new drivers.

Probably won't help a lick, likely Apple and the SW companies need to update.

Can see the error log filling up quick with errors, and causing you a slowdown.
