The wireless keyboard takes it from 3-5 days to 3-5 weeks.

Hopefully that's the new Apple trend as seen with the iPhone of being very pessimistic with their delivery dates and then actually getting them in earlier.

i hate to tell you this, but I'm typing this reply on my new Imac! I picked it up about noon today. I bought the 20" for $1499. They didn't have any of the new wireless keyboards, so I'll pick that up soon...along with a memory upgrade.

I saw some people complaining about the glossy screen. I think it's awesome! Some people are never happy.

Darn, I ordered the wireless keyboard so early September for me :( Didn't realize it was adding so much time to the delivery and now it is too late to cancel as I ordered with an ipod for the free ipod promotion and the ipod has already entered the shipping process. The wireless keyboard was a $30 upgrade so it seemed like a good deal at the time but if it means waiting a month then it probably wasn't worth it.

Despite what Steve says, the iMac is geared at the average consumer and students as we all know. Gamers for the most part already have their rigs and the Pros have, well, the Mac Pro with an ACD. I was hoping to get into computer gaming (always have been a console gamer) and hope to try out Crysis, but I've been holding out for this new iMac that I'm not gonna let that alter my decision. I'm making the switch and I'm sure I will be more than satisfied...now just have to wait for Leopard before I buy it.

The wireless keyboard was also a disappointment for me in terms of shipping times. I couldn't believe that the shipping times were pegged at 3-5 weeks!

I think they told us out of curtsey so people who wanted it with their iMac wouldn't complain they bought the wired one only 3 weeks before and now want the wired.

But yes, like all things Mac, I want mine NOW.
