I had my iMac since Christmas. And I must say, I love it! I wish I switched to the Mac world sooner! I don't see any yellow tinge or gray bands. It's very quiet and the screen can be as dark or bright without any noise. :] Once I turned on my first iMac, I knew how to work it very quickly [because I've been working with Mac's for most my life] but this is my first Mac I ever owned.
:] Just thought I should say that I got a perfect iMac. So don't worry about the problems when you first get it. You might not even see them!

bought my 2 sons Imac's, and after using it a bit, I ordered one for myself today. All from reburb store. So far 2 for 2 are great. Lets hope for 3!

Congrats. I, too, was surprised by how nice Macs were and wished I had picked up one earlier. I got my first in 2009.

I got my first mac "iMac" a couple of months ago and I love it. Sure there is a little learning curve after using a PC for 16 yrs, but between this forum, apple support and google, most things are ironed out.

I went with the 21.5 monitor and love it, even though my PC monitor was a 24, I really don't mind the difference.

It's amazing until you are away from a PC, how quiet it is and does not have the strange "running" in the background. I kept my PC "clean", never had a virus and did regular maintenance but by the time I decided to change to Mac, I was amazed the amount of time it would take to boot up.

Love my decision. I read about the iMac on this forum before I made my purchase.

May I just ask:

Does anyone have an issue with the blacks?

By this i mean on a black/ very dark screen background are the colours even or do you find the bottom lower left and/ or right hand side slightly lighter than than the rest of the screen, kind of a light leak from the screen?

I dont have any problem with blacks on my 21.5. I have the desktop black and with that matched up against the color of the monitor border, I cannot see any difference anywhere. I don't have all of my desktop in black, centered is an image of one of my favorite hounds.
