Is it possible to upgrade the cpu on the new iMacs or are they soldered to the board? I was thinking to get the low end 24" and upgrade it down the road if possible. TIA :)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I do not think you can upgrade the CPU after the fact.

My thoughts are buy it maxed out now (2.8 Ghz) and then you don't have to worry about upgrading for a long time.

hhmmm i havent heard anything of it being soldered on, that was (as far as im away) only on the mbp's.
i think it would be really good if apple left them unsoldered on so us customers can put the next wateva in laters on.
