I just got my first mac ever (24" iMac) today. First of all, I love it, and feel like I have been really missing out! When my computer goes to sleep, a light on the bottom right of the white panel goes on and off. What is this?

Another thing is that in the remote thing, when I look at pictures, it starts to play some song, but then cuts out until I press a button, is this a software glitch. Should I update the computer to the newest version? Right now it is 10.4.6

Also, is there anyway to use the iSight to caputure short videos?

I am sure I will be back with other questions (if anyone has a complete guide of shortcut keys I would much appreciate it!)

Thanks.

The blinking light is the sleep light. It goes on and off to let you know the computer is asleep.

Not sure about the remote thing, as mine works fine. I would recommend updating to 10.4.8, as it fixes some front row bugs. It also improves Rosetta considerably.

I would recommend upgrading to 10.4.8 but not upgrading to QuickTime 7.1.3 for the moment. I have had issues with my iMac, caused I believe by QT 7.1.3, not an entirely bug-free release at least as far as Intel Macs are concerned.
