1. The guy in the bullring birmingham (uk) store said that if you wanted an extra GB of RAM to boost it to 1.5GB then they will do it in the back of the store and you can have it in 15 minutes!, contrary to the apparent inability to buy BTO in a store.
2. The bullring store had a few 17" on display, but they had no 20". I have to say the 17" is nice, but the 20" is just soooooo much better, in terms of proportions of plastic and screen.
3. The 30" is waaaaaaaaay too big and the icons on the dock are so small on maximum resolution you cant see them, but hey its a screen bigger than my TV.
4. How do you turn the iMac on/off, as their is a distinct lack of a button (unless i missed it)
5. Does anyone have a link to a good website for recent switchers that has a guide for OSX beginners?

Thanks alot

If it was me I would just buy the ram and install it myself after the fact you can get it way cheaper and it doesn't negate the warranty.

The 20" is really nice(we have the rev B)

The rev B has a button on the back for turning it on and off

You can increase (or decrease) the size of the icons in the Dock. I can make them so mall I can barely see them on a 17" monitor.

The power button is on the lower left of the screen, at the back.

The installation of RAM is so simple on these machines, I'd hardly say it's a BTO.
