New Imac?

Hello,

I've never had an Imac. I want to buy one (20'') but I am afraid of buy one right now because there are rumours that a new model is just to be released.

Is that rumour proceed?

I live in Brazil and due the actual crises the rate exchange worth to buy it. But I do not want to buy an 'old' imac.

I don't foresee any new iMacs in the near future, just Laptop updates.

With Apple, you're always bound to have an outdated model rather sooner than later. There are nearly always refreshes and updates around the corner.

First up on schedule: new notebooks. And then new iMacs are up. (or so the rumor goes)

If I were you, I wouldn't wait.
New iMacs are just going to be speed bumps, no major redesigns.

And from what I can tell ... (you buying a 20" model and not the high-end 30") speed is not really that important to you, so a slight bump shouldn't keep you waiting a couple of months.

30" iMac's eh? This is news to me.

If you can wait until next year, like after January or so, I would.

It probably would be more than a speed bump for the Imac with Snow Leopard around the corner!
