New imacs 64 bit Vista

Has the situation changed with the new imacs? Are they able to run 64 bit vista like the mac pro and MBP, or are they like the past generation of imacs?

It's my understanding that they can run 64-bit Vista now. I read that in here yesterday.

I'll try tonight and let you know. My new iMac arrived today!

All macs that is core 2 duo is capable of running 64-bit vista since early 2008 MacPros came out. As long as you have the drivers, it works. I've installed 64-bit vista on my dad's iMac (24", 2.4ghz) a long time ago.

Vista x64 works fine on my 2008 MBP. The driver are all on the install disc. It doesn't seem to say whether they're 64-bit or not, but they all work perfectly, so they must be.

Yes they are. I installed Vista Business 64 on my MP and after it was up and running I popped the OSX disk in the drive and it autostarted and installed the drivers. Afterwards you may want to go to your video card manufacturers web site and download the latest Vista 64 drivers.

64-bit vista oem on imac

I'm so glad to find out that someone has successfully installed these. i'm stuck and was beginning to think it was hopeless.
i have a 24" 2.8GHz imac w/ATI (the first generation aluminum one). i'm trying to install vista home premium 64-bit. i keep getting this message before getting to the installer

well, the keyboard doesn't work at this point. even when i unplug it and put it back in. i just got the vista DVD today. there's no way i can get a refund for it and i'd rather not have to resale it for way less than i just bought it for.
every thread i've found offers advice for server versions, windows 7, or apparently pirate versions. can't find anything for legit, factory-pressed vista.
