Can someone please do a benchmark speedtest? It would be very interesting to see how the new Imacs compare to the old ones! :)

Ditto.. would be very interested, especially if some FPS scores can be shown for some native running games and some windows games as well.

Yeah, the apple website is claiming that they are 28% quicker. I dont think its that much in reality (but maybe Im wrong). But would be very interesting to see :D

I Spent most of the evening using the Migration Utility to move my data from my MPB over to my iMac, so I didnt get to install any games in Vista yet. Below is the data I did capture yesterday afternoon and if there are any benchmarks you would like to see in addition, please feel free to PM me and I will try running them tonight. Enjoy!

Love at first bite

I have had my iMac 20" 2.4 since December and I just love it. Now I must get the 24 in 3.06 turbocharged version.

that is goodness. thanks for the results. i checked the older 2.8 extreme and it was 3600ish and the 2.8 Octo is about 7500. At almost 4000 the 3.06 is a contender. Now I don't know what to do, should i go Octo or iMac. I currently have and older iMac and love it, bought one for my daughter as well.

And this is about "want" not "need" :)

I'm with you on the quandry. I have a 2.4ghz al imac and love it, but these new machines are tempting me. I've also considered selling my MBP and my iMac and getting a Pro... darn :apple: and their speed bumps!! All about want not need here too.... :D
