New iMacs Coming (evidence)

I ordered a 20in Imac over a week ago. And it never showed up.
When i called they said it will ship on monday feb 1st.
But could not give me anymore info as to why the delay. But said it will be worth the wait.
He also mentioned to watch the super bowl commercials. ( Could this be a sign of new releases)

Apple is not listed as an advertiser in this year's game, but then I'm having some trouble getting a complete list through today. As of yesterday, there were two spots left.

I'm sure an Apple buy would be news in & of itself, marking both the 25th anniversary of the "1984" ad and the ten-year anniversary of the "2000" ad.

At $3M per 30-second spot, and $24B or so in the bank, it's not a matter of budget, that's for sure, but more of interest and perceived value.

Where's Ridley Scott been the last few months? ;)
 
Ok, this is definitely not coincidence. This is the third thread I read with a similar story.

what the heck apple you suck. im not done paying off my aluminum macbook yet. you cant release a new imac. thats not fair.
 
Not to rain on anyone's parade, but rarely ever does Apple employee "inside information" pan out to be true.

More that likely just a bunch of wishful thinking...
 
That'd be interesting since they just upgraded the basic MacBook to nVidia.

Would like to see a new 20" iMac with the same specs as the White MacBook go for $999 - would help Apple in this current economy...
 
Where is this so-called "Evidence?"

So far all I've seen is rumor and 3rd person ramblings....
 
I just spoke to apple on the phone becaue i have been waiting for my 24" iMac to arrive and he tells me that there are no new imacs that he knows of coming out. I asked him if i could hold off till 3rd of feb lol

Why would he tell you? It's Apple's policy that they don't tell about new products. And it's possible that he doesnt' know about it. Apple doesn't tell for every empolyee that new products are coming becouse they don't want that people know about 'em

Apple employees are clueless of when new releases are bound to happen, you most likely know more than he does.
