It's not a big deal for me since I don't have one, but I've read threads on here of people thinking that Apple moved the magnet. Here's official word:

Ehhh, I don't see it as a step back. I probably wouldn't use my remote if I'm within reaching distance of my computer anyway. Plus, I not sure how nice a white remote stuck to the side of a silver iMac would look.

Having just replaced a last model white iMac with the 24" current model I'd love to know what these steps backwards are? Well other than a magnet for a remote that I never used.

I just got my new iMac a couple of days ago, and there are two magnets on the lower part of the black outline, on each side of the iMac. I just placed my remote on the right magnet.
