Last night I was sitting at my near death Dell machine, sad that there wasn't an iMac update that would allow my long-awaited switch. I was checking Apple.com and other sites hoping to see an update. I clicked on the apple.com page for iMacs and shouted with excitment, seeing the words "The New iMacs. Faster. Bigger. Brighter." I thought great, a silent update, giving us spec updates just like recent Macbook Pro.

No. I just haven't been paying close enough attention to the pages. This is announcing the "old" "new iMacs". ARGH. How can Apple still call these "new"?

That page has looked the same since the 24" model was introduced. New means latest in apple-language.

I just look at it as a good opportunity to clean up my data and go to the gym more.

Yeah, I too was hoping for an update so that my mom could replace her Cisnet computer with an iMac.

If you can wait, wait until at least a week after the iPhone releases. Most of the rumors out there (especially at the beginning) said that the iMac would receive an update by the end of June ;)

I think that is most people's problem including my own, we are waiting and waiting and yet when something isn't updated when we get all hyped up when we think it should be, we become that much more upset and frustrated. I too have been waiting for awhile for this "update" everyone is talking about and it is frustrating but it will make all the more when they do update the iMac.
