Will we see new iMac redesigns in the coming weeks or will we have to wait until the Apple Expo in Paris in September?

We don't know. There are a dozen threads this week alone on this subject. Search before you post, please.

I think it will be a quiet update bumping the line to Santa Rosa, similar specs to the MBP. In a few weeks. No case change.

I don't really know, of course. (Does anyone?)

Considering how long it's been since it was last updated, one might suspect a new design.
The last time it took this long between updates was when the iMac G5 was introduced. And it has been almost 3 years with the current looks, which for a company that makes designer products is a long time.

So I expect to see a new design this year. And I fail to see why they would update the hardware now and introduce a redesign early this fall. Seems like a bit too close.
But then again, who knows. Even with the high focus on mobile products the MBP is a bit dated in its design.

40 won't happen. I vote for the 27. Sounds perfect for me.

Yeah but one could wish.. a part of me wishes there was a size that big, probably bump the 24" down?... the 24" seems ALMOST TOO big for my current setup but would work, while the 20" seems just right. SO OBVIOUSLY my choice is going to be the 24" :D

40" would be horrible actually. my tv isn't even that big. it is just a 32" and i sit like 3' away from it.

40" imac

i'd be too scared the thing would topple over crushing me under it's hefty new industrial design... would it come with :apple: branded sand bags or wall brackets to avoid such catastrophe? i can just imagine, my last breath captured by photobooth... all disfigured but in a lovely sepia tone... ;)

... i've noticed all the imacs have gone from the aus refurb site... guess most people got jack of waiting... me, i'm a sucka... i just gotta have THIS next one.

The base on the 40" looks like it won't even support it....

But then again who predicted a 24" iMac, such and odd size, I agree a 27" and SR updates, iThink we will see an update the next time the Mac Pro's are updated so that Apple continues to keep those product lines clearly diverse.
