Hi, I'm considering buying a new iMac but being the patient person, I want to wait for the next gen. I'm new and not up to date with any mac news but I got a few questions. Any estimates are fine. Thanks:

1) When is the next Gen iMac coming out
2) What are some spec ideas of new iMacs
3) Any breaking features?
4) Cost? $$$
5) Any other news.

1. they already cames out in the summer, for the next gen, you'll have to wait some time

to be honest if you want a new imac get it now. There is no point in waiting. I would be thinking the next update to them will be April at the earliest. Thats just what I think anyway.

I'm guessing definately LED backlit displays. Not sure if the quad mobile processors are out by then, but that'd be great..

I'll bet 2GB ram stock too

Seconded. Right now is a great time to get an iMac, iLife and OS X all with one purchase, all in the early stages of their product cycles. It doesn't get any better than right now!

Totally agree, if you buy one now you get all thoose things for free, but if i now want to be up to date i have too pay 220 € for leopard and ilife
