New iMessage effects not working

Sending iMessage with new effects doesn’t work. I can receive message with new effect and it displays correctly.

I was in the beta. On iPhone 6
 
People who are running 11.0 see “sent with echo effect” or “sent with spotlight effect” for example. When they send to me animation plays.

Do they have Reduce Motion turned on? If so they have to enable effects in Settings.

Sounds like some kind of glitch, you could try "reset all settings" on whichever device is having the problem and see if that helps. If it works normally from different senders then it could be your device.
 
Tried “reset all settings” still an issue. May have to do clean install. Thx
 
After seeing this tread I wanted to try it too and couldn't find it either . Then tried going to Screen instead of Bubble .
Thats where they are !
 
My wifes ip7 is having the same issue. I can get everything from her but the echo doesnt work on hers at all.
 
We just tried that. Hers works to me. When I send to her it does not just says sent with echo

I'm having the same issue. I have a 7+ in an iPad 12.9 second GEN both an iOS 11 beta. She has an iPhone 7. I've tried all the normal troubleshooting for iMessage with no fix. I even removed my beta profile. I don't have a backup prior to me installing the beta so I have not restored my phone yet. I Have tried on my iPad as well. She can send them to me no issue, but when I send to her no go. I was doing the iOS 11 beta on that as well. She did not do the beta. I may try a restore later, holding off for now.

Same problem, similar circumstances.

My brother has an iPhone SE which just updated to iOS 11. Previewing the two new screen effects works fine, sending them also works fine. Receiving them... not so much. Same message underneath, "Sent with Echo".

We had the same problem when sending from:

iPhone 6 - ios11 dev beta 10
iPhone 7 Plus - ios11
iPhone 6 - ios11 GM
iPhone 6s - ios11

Any update on yours?
 
Here's what i did to get it working. I had previously removed my beta profile. I synced and did an encrypted back up of my iPhone to my pc in the new itunes 12. Then i did a iphone restore with the backup i just made. Now i am able to send messages with echo with no issues. I had to do the restore on both my iphone and ipad.

My brother got it working after a couple of reboots of the phone. Must have been some kind of leftover after the update but it works perfect now
 
I believe this is a Apple server issue not a device issue and it seems to fix itself in time. I wouldn’t bother with resetting all settings or clean installs as it’s a lot of trouble to go to. I’ve seen this fix itself on 6 devices over the last few days.
