I just received my MacBook Pro yesterday. I understand from another user you might be able to just use the internet recovery directly to install the new mountain lion.

Can anyone confirm this is true? I presume you would need a the very latest models and instead of installing lion now it would install mountain lion without having to purchase or use a code?

You have to install ML first, this creates the recovery partition on your HDD. Then you can do the Internet recovery and do a fresh install after erasing your drive.

never used internet recovery but I would guess you need to enter your apple ID to download Lion/Mountain Lion..
