iPad New Ipad (10.2) vs original Ipad Pro 9.7

I got the original Ipad Pro 9.7 in 2016; it still works fine but is not upgradeable to IOS 14. As I largely use it for reading, some writing and watching movies, do you think it's worth considering the 2020 Ipad 10.2 inch? Just not sure I can justify going to an Ipad Air since my use case is pretty limited for my Ipad.

Open to any other suggestions as well.

The iPad Pro 9.7 is absolutely upgradeable to iOS 14. My mom's running it on her Pro 9.7 right now (she complained to me about the Photos app suddenly changing layout).
