I have an original Air and just bought the iPad Air 4. The 10.9 screen gives you a noticeably larger screen over the 9.7 and improves the user experience.I currently own the original iPad Air and use it a lot for browsing, Outlook and so on.
I find the 9,7" screen a bit cramped. Would the new ipad air improve on that noticeably?
I think you should just get the base model iPad. It’s still bigger than the iPad Air.I currently own the original iPad Air and use it a lot for browsing, Outlook and so on.

It feels like a classic iPad. The screen is great. I went from a pro 10.5 to iPad 7 and didn’t miss pro motion or the laminated screen. To be honest it has better viewing angles and a lot less off axis color shift than the laminated screens from my experience.is there much difference in screen ‘feel’ between the new ipad and latest ipad air ?I’m reading that the base ipad lacks the laminated screen.
Well, your options are limited. The current iPad models offer three choices unless you take the big jump to the 12.9" Pro. There are other differences between the three iPads you can pick from, I suggest putting thought into what you use the iPad for so you make the right choice not just from display size standpoint, but considering all of the features.Thank you for your replies - still haven´t purchased, but still feel the 9,7 is too small - but the Air 4th gen isn´t markedly larger/easier to use than the 10,2 iPad 8?
