  • With the Iphone 10 XS line, 35-40% have had reception and wifi problems. Also they have had problems with charging and display. Since Apple plans on using non AMOLED screens, will it not have those problems? I really want the new Ipad X but don’t want to spend the money on a clunker and would go for the 2nd gen instead. My Ipad battery is aging on my pro.

34-40% where did you get those statistics?

iPads may have issues. But it will not be related to any iPhones issues. Completely different device.

You realise that represents like 0.006% of the devices manufactured (Assuming 5 million, probably many more...), and is also biased insofar as it being a technical support website?

TL;DR. They are made in different factories, all products will exhibit some manufacturing problems, higher during the initial run. Be confident that Apple at least corrects and helps the customer if you do experience a problem. And don't worry about things that are highly unlikely to ever effect you. If you want a new iPad, then go buy one and enjoy it. If you're looking for a reason not to buy one, then yeah there could be a production problem that effects you, might as well wait till next years device.
