New IPad Keyboard

Why are numbers being thrown out when I’m typing, instead of the letters I’m trying to type? This is awful and requires constant editing on this new iPad keyboard. What can I do to stop this?

Turn off the new key swipes off in settings > general > Enable Key Flicks. Pretty much changes the keyboard back to the way it was

Don’t flick or swipe while typing. I have no issues with it on my iPad.
