I got my new IPad Pro 12.9” the day before yesterday, and it’s great but for one thing...

When I long-press the App Store button, it brings up a contextual menu with one of the choices being “updates”. When I choose it from either my iPhone or old iPad, under “personalized recommendations” it shows a list of upcoming updates or recently updated. On my new iPad the only thing that shows there is “sign out”, there’s no indication at all of any updates. Both iPads are running 13.6 and they seem to be identical in every other way but this.

There were 7 updates waiting on my old iPad this morning, and nothing on the new one. What’s up with that?

You got the iPad two days ago. It's likely that the updates that now show on your old ipad were already performed as part of the process of installing the apps in the first place to your IPP.

Thank for the replies, that may be it. If not, I‘ll be back😁

I would think that the mystery could potentially be solved by comparing application versions between the two iPads in the App store.

Well, that was a good idea, both iPads have the same software. 👍
Don’t know why I didn’t think of it. I’m using my old iPad as a trade in, so I want to make sure everything is right with the new one before I send it back. I still want to see some updates appear, though 😉
