I own a Gen 8 iPad, and am thinking about upgrading to the new iPad Pro 11".

Any speculation as to how much better/brighter the display might be? I'm guessing it's incremental, not revolutionary like the XDR (unfortunately the 12.9" model's too large for me).

No need to wonder. It's the same display as the 2018 and 2020 iPad Pro 11".

600 nits 2021 Pro vs 500 nits 8th gen. Also, fully laminated, anti-reflective, ProMotion, P3 color and TrueTone.

Thanks.

Nits I grok. Not bad!

The rest (aside from anti-reflective) sounds like chipper jargon. "46 times greater LogicFlow™ thanks to our revolutionary TurboMeister™ resistor housings!"

"Promotion" (whoops, ProMotion), indeed!

Edit: Ok, TrueTone is better environmental adaptation, ProMotion is mostly an Apple Pencil thing, and P3 color gives designers more precise calibration. Meh. But the nits are nice.
