Recently ordered a new iPad Pro 12.9 256GB and I'm wondering if I should buy AppleCare+ or not.

I've had the 2nd generation iPad Pro 10.5 including AppleCare+ before, but I (gladly) never had to use it.
Therefore, it feels like a waste of money. But now that the iPad is even more screen than before, it might be a smart thing to do. I do not want to image the price of breaking that screen.

What is your opinion, do you guys get AppleCare+ on your iPad's?

I’m in exactly the same situation as you. I purchased AppleCare+ for my iPhone X which set me back £199 but as my phone goes everywhere with me I consider it a worthwhile purchase. However, that’s not true of my iPad which stays at home for easily 99% of the time.

Depending where you purchased that you have up to 60 days to add it on your account it’s like five or six dollars a month and I think you can cancel anytime but don’t quote me on that

Im thinking about it because I will use my 11" on business trips and to class 99% of the time, not at home. So theres a lot more risk something might get damaged at some point. I never bothered with applecare+ for any of my 'at home' devices.

Interesting, shame I missed that. Gonna look it up now!

Let me know if I’m right because I already ordered mine and I’m waiting for it to come in then I’m going to add it on

I ordered mine with CC that has electronic warranties and protection. Never needed Apple Care.

if you can pay that through iTunes that's amazing. Weird that there hasn't been a story or that I missed that on Macrumors.com .

Check out apples app and look for AppleCare It’ll show you that you can pay it monthly for 24 months until you pay it off

Hard time finding it.
Perhaps its only available in the U.S.? I live in The Netherlands and can't really find any info on paying monthly.

It costs more to pay AC+ monthly so you’re saving some money by buying up front. Or more accurately, you pay more when using the month to month plan.

It’s the same amount it’s just spread into 24 months

When I bought my XR, it only gave me the option of paying monthly. I suppose that's fine, as I may sell it next year if there's a big release.

I have apple care on everything at the moment except for the Apple TV and my old iPad. With the iPad I'm probably going to buy, I'm definitely getting AppleCare. Somehow my screen gets cracked more often than not.

Now with FaceID, I decided to get AppleCare for the new complexity. Probably never will need it but I prefer peace of mind on this one. Also my homeowners policy will cover the computer as well.
