In totally uncontrolled single tests my new iPad Pro 11" ax was 40-60% faster than the previous iPad Pro ac generation. It was also faster than my iPhone Pro Max ax, but by a smaller margin.

So do we need to purchase a new router to take advantage of WiFi6 or is it something that a firmware upgrade to current routers may see.
I dont currently have iPad wifi6 but if I’m not mistaken it’s inbuilt to my Note 10+ but not sure if is something I need to activate or is automatically picked up via device/router?

I wish i could be more excited. but for a few reasons its just kinda meh to me

-i have an older router
- I’m on the 80mbps data plan with comcast and it works well for me
- as it is, its already faster than i even need.

Like really. This page for example. I clicked it and boom. 2 seconds and its loaded. Same for youtube or Netflix or anything else and i dont know when i would ever even notice slightly faster speeds

It’ll be cool someday whenever i decide to upgrade my ipad and all my stuff but even then, i still probably wouldn’t give it anything more than a passing thought

Yeah. It’s not something I’d go out of my way or shellout for additional hardware for.
