Moving from 1TB 11 inch iPad Pro, will I notice the difference between 16GB and 8GB of Ram? Only using 200MB of the 1TB on the current ipad. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

depends on what apps you will use
Davinci or affinity etc it will surely take advantage of the 16gb ram

I’m actually wondering about this also. Would there be any difference with safari reloading tabs for instance?

Do the tabs reload often on the 8 GB?

YEs and the impact on how many apps open - I sometime have 10 to 20 apps open.

I use this app to monitor my memory usage.

I normally have a few GB free (with 16GB RAM) so I'm guessing reloads wouldn't be too bad dropping down to 8GB specially now with swapfile support on iPadOS 16.1.

Often is a subjective word, they reload much, much less than on 4GB (where reloads are constant even with 1 tab open) and less than on 6GB too. But they reload too, especially after a while (but that may also be due to battery optimization, not just RAM limitation, as mobile systems eject stuff from RAM after a while to improve battery life).
