So I currently have - 2 12.9" iPad Pros (2015 & 2018) which I use a lot each day & a Mac mini. I also have an old Air2 with 16gb of ram. I have an iPhone Max.... and last an Asus 10" tablet on data. It is really slowing down. I use it when I am out and about. Recently our Mediacom internet has been really spotty so I have used it as a hotspot several times this past week.

So I have been thinking about replacing my Asus - maybe with another iPad with data. Do you think I would be unhappy with it as compared to the Pros? I also thought about the mini - but I think it would be too small.

Get rid of that Air2 and Asus 10” Tablet. You already have 2 giant 13” iPad Pros and you are asking about a 10” Android Tablet. Clearly you prefer the smaller 10” form factor. Wait for a new Samsung TabS5 or buy an new iPad Mini.
You will be very Happy.

Do you use all of these devices at once? I’m not judging, I have 3 iPads myself and use them all, even at the same time. It would just help to know how you use them to help you decide.
If you sold the 12.9 2015, Air 2, Asus 10” and bought an 11” with cellular then you’d have the 11” for cellular use and 12.9 for your larger screen. Just a suggestion. You seem to like the 10” size, but need an update. Up to you if you need both 12.9 though.

Ok it took me a bit-Yes 16 gb ram, would be a beast. But 16 gb of storage makes it almost useless. You cant have too many aps on it.

I just watched a video comparing the Air 3 with 10.5 pro.

What did you think about the Air 3 vs iPP 10.5? I have the 10.5 and love that form factor (which both devices have). It is a nice size for portability. I also have 12.9 2018 and mini 5. The mini 5 is like the Air 3 in regards to specs and I’m very happy with the mini 5. Taking that into account though, I’d prefer the iPP 10.5 over the Air 3. The screen is nicer with the promotion, it has 4 speakers vs 2 and a better camera. I use the camera to scan documents. The Air 3 has a faster processor, but the iPP 10.5 has more ram and a faster graphics processor, so the speed seems to even out and I don’t notice a difference for my usage. I also pick the iPP 10.5 since I have the 512GB version of which there isn’t that option with the Air 3.

I don't really use the Air 2, but I have it in case my 17 y might need it for school. I really do use both 12.9" -Some at the same time.

I actually find myself not using the Asus that much. But if I take my youngest, and we are gory clothes shopping. She uses it to watch Youtube. I like the smaller form factor if I take it with me. It is nice having the larger screen (from iPhone Max) if I am comparison shopping.

I started using my 12.9" (2015) for my Bible Study group, I have been trying to go more paperless. I actually really like using it-but it is at a table. But it is so big to carry anewer one around. I could see about getting a better bag. But then again, I would never let my daughter 11 or granddaughter 5 Use it.
[doublepost=1557285287][/doublepost]I do realise I was looking at the prices of the 2018 ipads not the Air 3.

I handed down my 12.9 gen 1 to my 17yo daughter and my Air 2 to my 13 yo daughter. If you can afford to do so, maybe hand down the Air 2 to your daughter and there is no reason for her to use your Pro. As for you 5yo granddaughter, perhaps she can use the 12.9 2015 only when sitting down. I wouldn’t let a 5yo use my 12.9 2018 either. Lol. But then consider getting the Air 3, iPP 10.5 or iPP 11 for your cellular device.
