Hi there. I'm having an issue with my brand new iPhone 12 64GB. I've just installed Viber multiple times and I'm not able to send any pictures, only text. I've tried to install Viber with restore option enabled. Second time I've skipped data restore. I've also factory reset iPhone, however the problem is still present. This happens on WiFi and also cellular. As soon as I click send, picture pops up and loading indicator is there. However image is never really sent. iOS version is 14.3. Is this known issue? Anyone here with similar issues? Thanks for reply.

I have exactly the same issue. iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14.3. Tried everything as you did, no success. Also, searching the internet did not help.

I have the same issue with iphone 11 ios 14.3. Bought a week ago as a gift to hubby and now feeling bad, ‘cause all of these bugs keep showing up.
Searched the internet on this Viber issue. No luck.

Hello everyone,

Iam having an issue with iphone and Viber as well but mine’s a little bit different. When someone sends a picture to me it just shows in the chat room as blurry you cant even see the picture and when i try to open it, its just black screen with loading icon. No matter whether I tap on save or share or whatever its not responding. I have tried everything i could, reset, restart, all kinds of stuff but nothing has helped. I just switched to this phone (12 pro) from android, so far Im hoping I didn’t make huge mistake.

same issue with iPhone12 pro max (sw 14.3). Pictures cannot be sent via Viber. Received pictures are empty

Pikchia I also bought this iPhone 12 for my better half. I hope we'll managed to solve this and avoid iPhone return. In the mean time I've opened ticket with Viber support. So far no update from them. I will update when I receive any new info.

I don't know if ticket info is available online, since communication goes on via mail. Ticket number is #2661419. I will update.

Hello all! I have an iPhone XS with the latest iOS update and I have the same problem. Some days ago I uninstall and install Viber and since then I can't receive or sent any kind of media (photos, videos, recordings etc). I have the same problem on iPhone and iPad. I have enable also Viber with the same account on MacBook Pro and there there is no issue. I sent a ticket to Viber support but no reply since now.

Hi everyone! I have the exact same problem with my iPhone se 1st gen!!! Besides not sending/receiving any media I also cannot see my contacts icon. The last three days I have sent three tickets in viber support about various problems.

Hy all from Croatia,same problem over here. Thank God i thinked i lost my mind ???. This is the first thread found on google with exact problem. I too have ticket and emailing Viber but nothing...

Another thing texting Viber is useless they just ask you to check the internet connection will ask you another few questions and then they just don’t reply anymore.. so annoying

Hello everyone from Greece! I have the same problem with my new iPhone se (iOS 14.3). Pictures cannot be sent via viber and received pictures are blurred or empty. I don’t think it’s vibers fault..I installed viber on my previous Samsung phone and there is no issue. I think that something is wrong with the last iOS update 14.3 ?

Same here, Iphone 12, just bough it. I can receive pictures but when open it its all blurry. Also contacts pictures dont show. On samsung phone its working. I think it has soemthing to do with Icloud , bcs now its not working even on old Iphone.

Same problem here, even tonight I did update to 14.4 and still facing the same problem. I did send an email viber’s customer support but nothing. That’s the email I received “

  3. Can you send/receive videos, audio messages, stickers, GIF?
  4. Please try using 3G/4G and WiFi separately to see if the issue occurs on both internet sources. Does it occur on both? If not, on which does it occur?
  5. When did the issue first begin? After upgrading Viber? After upgrading the operating system?
  6. Have you made any changes to your phone’s operating system settings?
  7. Are you running any other VoIP applications on your device (such as Line, Skype, etc.)? If so, please check if the issue you are experiencing occurs on these other apps as well.
Also please send us a screenshot of how these messages are displaying on your side.

also same problem iphone 7 plus updated to 14.3 and now 14.4 .. exact same answer to me .. i answered 2 times but still they didn't reply back .. +1 problem that i have is that i can not delete the vibers backup from icloud (4 giga)

Same problem, iphone 12 pro, os version 14.1 - images and videos won't load, can't see contact avatars. Reinstalled viber 3 times so far ? something was probably broken in ios 14.. :/

Got the same mail like above from the viber support ... hope they will respond soon.
I dont know if this is something iCloud or country related (I'm from Serbia)

Well this is the reply I got from Viber support ... it seems they are aware of it and working on the issue. Hopefully they will resolve it soon... Below is the mail I got:

Got the same mail like above from the viber support ... hope they will respond soon.
I dont know if this is something iCloud or country related (I'm from Serbia)
I think is worldwide cause I am in USA

I cant delete viber’s backup neither from icloud (5.6gb)

Noticed that I also cannot delete iCloud backup for Viber. I also tried to install Viber without restoring chat data from iCloud and from that point on create new backup (chat backup is not that important for me). Noticed that backup is still of same size 1.2GB even if there is no chat history.

In the mean time I send reminder to Viber Support every day, still no update from them. Also upgrade to 14.4 iOS didn't solved this.
