Today I purchased an iPhone 13 (upgrading from iPhone 11 Pro). I wanted to "start fresh" so I opted to not restore from a backup, but still sync all of my iCloud stuff. Everything synced just fine, but for some reason my messages have not. Weirdly, there are messages from 2019 that are there, but nothing newer than that. The bar at the bottom of the Messages app never moves.
I am connected to wifi and plugged in. I tried the ol' turn it off turn it back on stuff, and nothing. Any suggestions?

Hi!

It might take 24 to 48 hours to finish syncing. It seems like there’s a lot of messages, if they go back to 2019!

I and others had this issue last year and it resolved spontaneously after like a week and I am 100% sure it was an error on Apple's end. The Cloud is great until it isn't.
