I have just set up my iPhone 7 using an encrypted iTunes backup taken from my 6s Plus to restore to the 7 Plus.
I needed to do this as I wish to keep my Health data rolling from the 6s Plus to the 7 Plus.

Anyway, what I have noticed is several issues where the two devices are not carrying out the same functions.

To make it easy, here is just one of the errors I am currently finding:-
On my 6s+ I will get LED Flash and lock screen banner notifications to all the apps allowed notifications.
On the 7+ I do not get the LED Flash and no lock screen banner notifications.
If I raise to wake the 7+ and pull down from the lock screen I will see 'some' of the alerts, it's just that the notifications are not being triggered.

I have checked the settings on both phones and nothing appears different. Any ideas guys?

Have you checked if DND might be enabled (or try enabling and disabling it, just to make sure)?

Do you have any devices like a watch connected to the iPhone?

Yes, DND is not enabled. I also tried enabling/disabling thanks.

I have paired my watch to the 7+, do you think it is this which stops notifications when wearing the watch'?
In case this is the answer I have taken it off temporarily to see if it changes anything on the 7+

If you never paired your watch to your 6s+ before, then what you are seeing is normal. All notifications from your phone go to your watch while you are wearing it. The iPhone will only make sound, flashes and vibrations when someone is calling you.

Thanks... the watch was previously paired with the 6s Plus.
Since taking the watch off I have heard both phones sounding notifications. Still no LED Flash on the 7 Plus though.

Do you have LED notifications enabled in accessibility settings?
