There are rumors that the "iPhone 9" might not have a button, but a full screen with faceID. LED screens are fine for me but I do prefer a "narrower" phone than the iPhone 11, or the iPhone Pro Max I have now. The reason I have the Max instead of the reg 11 Pro is simply "Zoomed view", it makes the difference without going into accessibility mode on the font & throwing everything off. I don't carry reading glasses 24/7. I find the regular iPhone 11 a touch wide also, so my only option currently is the Pro Max. (If it's going to be too wide I prefer the extra zoom camera lens on Pro Max). If the new smaller iPhone 9 has "Zoomed view" LED or not - I'm in.

There's no way Apple is releasing a budget iPhone unless they are using recycle bin parts. Which means you will see the same ol' LCD, touchID, lightning, and other boring hardware found in the iPhone 8.

If there was any truth to the rumors, the leaks would've come out long ago.

There is no rumor of an iPhone 9 with a 5.4 inch screen and no bezel. The rumored iPhone 9 will supposedly be an iPhone 8 copy with updated internals. There is a rumor of an iPhone 12 with a 5.4 inch screen and no bezel.

wow. so many different versions of the rumors. its like Telephone Game.

1. new model to be launched March 2020.
to have:
- fastest iPhone processor available
- one camera
- large bezels
- large home button (therefore Touch ID)
- no Face ID (therefore no notch)
- outer dimensions (wdith and height) the same as 6/6s/7/8. depth: slightly thicker for bigger battery (therefore can't use 6/6s/7/8 cases)
- estimated display diagnol: 4.7"

2. new model to be launched Sept 2020
display of 5.4"
outer dimensions: "around the size of the the current iPhone 8"
- two cameras
other details are similar to what other Sept 2020 models might have: 5G, etc etc.
biggest unknown: will Touch ID be under/in display so no button is needed or not

Where did you find these rumours, can you share some links?

From what we have learnt so far on these forums, 9to5mac, etc. iPhone 9 or SE2 may get released in a few months as an update to iPhone 8, thus offering an evolutionary vs revolutionary change to its chassis:
