Hi all,

I'd like to tell you about my first photography app for the iPhone. I originally built it for myself, but a number of photography friends expressed an interest in the app so I've decided to release it to a wider audience.

The app is designed to allow you to discover interesting photos that people have taken in a location, either one you browse to or your current one. Once you identify some you like you can order them into a walk to follow and allow the app to help you navigate to them.

I've found it really useful when I've been out and about as a means of gaining inspiration when I've run dry or for planning where to visit when I'm away.

You are encouraged to provide suggestions of what you would like to see added to the app through the suggestion forum built into the app, and I'd love to see them so that we can make the app even better.

and join the newly created group for the app on Facebook

I've added some screenshots so you can get a feel for the app.

It is harnessing the Flickr API for photos at the moment, although I've been looking into extending into other resources, however so far I've found Flickr to provide a great range of photographs.

If you find a photographer you like, using the app it is possible to jump off and browse their photo stream before continuing on with discovering other photos.

Likewise if you find a photo or photographer that you don't like you can ignore them.

I know you are going to say "you'd say that as its yours" but its proved to be a great tool when I've been out and about with friends, and those that have a copy have said the same.

Also, like I said in the original post, I'm encouraging feedback so that we can make this even better.

Have fun.
