hi! I am finally owner of an iPhone 8+ :))
(I have always had Android phones and they worked fine and I was barely having Problems.)
Today I wanted to sort the apps on my homescreen and when I got done it wouldnt let me return to the first page no matter how often I pressed the home button. It would get me to the first page and then immediately switch back to the second. I switched the phone off and on again, it happened once more and after the last switching off it was fine.
This iPhone is one day old and I‘m wondering if it is bad quality because I was having problems already.

Also sorry for my bad english, i am from Europe :)

Your English is fine. You should be able to go from the second or third page to the homescreen page by swiping with your finger rather than pressing the home button. Try doing it that way to see if it works okay.

Thanks for your answer. Yes I did. I tried both for a good 10 times and it just wouldn't switch back.
Maybe it had something to do with the low battery? It was down to 1%.

Press and HOLD the power button and home button for several seconds until you see the Apple symbol show up...then release both button.

I did :) and it was working fine again afterwards.
I'm just worried because it is so new and already had an issue so that I had to reset it.

LOL, with 1% battery remaining it's a wonder the phone didn't turn off completely. You should never allow your phone's battery to go that low. I usually recharge my 7+ as soon as the battery reaches around 50%.

Do you think this could have been the reason the phone didn't work properly?

Ok, maybe this was the issue. I also saw that I didn't have the latest iOS version and just updated it. I wonder if this might have been the problem..

I really didn't know a low battery is such a problem. :-o I wanted it to be empty and then fully charge it so it gains 100% accuracy.
So y'all think that what happened isn't really a software issue nor a concern?

Personally, i think that your phone is bad. BUT, as a one time offer, i am willing to accept your phone. Mail it to me and i will PERSONALLY use it for about 2-3 years for you to make sure that everything is good. At the end of the period, you will pay for shipping back to you.

There is no need to deplete you battery before charging. It can actually decrease you battery life. Trying to get your phone to do anything at 1% is questionable. Put it on the charger and leave it alone until at least 50%.

After that just charge while you sleep and do not worry about your battery.

Using your phone at 1% isn't really sensible, let alone trying to organise apps with the battery that low.
