Hey fellow iphone lovers,

Can anyone help me out and let me know if there is an iphone app to let you broadcast your iphone music to your fm stereo or will be in the future. You know, like that iTrip thing. Please respond to this if you know or want one cause I think that it would be awesome to have that and I would def pay 10 bucks to get it!

This is not possible because iPhone does not have an internal fm transmitter. If your headphones/speakers/device supports A2DP, you can stream music via bluetooth to said device if you have iPhone 3.0 software on your phone.
 
oh ok, i thought the iphone was gonna come with one, I really wish it could do that cause that would be awesome!

Isn't that how Nike + works on the 3GS? Through an FM transmitter?

No!

The Nike+ device has the transmitter, the iPhone doesn't need one. And it is generally assumed, although I have never seen any documentation, that Nike+ uses the same 2.4 GHz frequency as 802.11b/g and Bluetooth, allowing the existing radio to handle Nike+.

The iPod touch 2nd gen that added Nike+ capability has a Bluetooth chip in it, even though the iPod didn't claim Bluetooth support, it is assumed that the chip is being used for Nike+ support. Support for Bluetooth-proper was released with OS 3.0.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I was wondering why devs weren't taking advantage of an FM Transmitter. That's would be because there isn't one haha
 
With 3.0 the only internal hardware way of sending out your music wireless is with Bluetooth.

I just got this for my car:

No wires, have it clipped onto the visor above my head. I power it on, few seconds later a single beep lets be know it's connected to my iPhone. Instead of the devices speaker, I hit its FM button, which uses the last station I found to work best or a saved preset (speaks out the station), then I hit the play button on the device and it starts the ipod where it left off, playing through my car stereo. I can manually use things like youtube, pandora, etc, through it. So it basically is a middle man. The iPhone connects to this little box via bluetooth, then the box connects to your car stereo via FM.

At home, I use the headphone jack to directly connect my iPhone to my stereo.

There are cheaper devices, small FM transmitters, using batteries, or your cigarette lighter, and connect to the iPhone's headphone jack to get the audio to send over fm. Though, this involves wires and may not have a built in mic or buttons for answering calls. That's what's nice about the Motorola device, being right above me with a simple button to answer a call, put on hold, play, pause, end, without taking the iPhone out. Only wish it could skip audio tracks.

wow you are kind of braindead. you might as well ask if theres an app for the iphone that will mow your lawn.
