My mom got the new iphone 15 pro max few days ago. My Brother HL-L2380DW keeps saying printer is busy and won't print. I unplugged / repluggedin the printer and then after it rebooted it printed 1 page again. Then after the 1 page it said printer is busy again. I unplugged it and plugged it back in again. And it still says printer is busy. It never happened on my moms old iphone sx max. Not sure what is happening. No new router or changes to the printer were made.

It's not processing anything. The printer has been idle for several hours and it still says printer not found on my android. Only an unplugging and plugging back in fixes that. So it's not processing anything. When it said printer not available right away on my Mac mini m1 I tired printing and it was printing. if it was processing the Mac would not be able to print. Yet the phone does not see it until I unplug the printer and plug it back in. So something is wrong.
while the model should supports Airprint, further down the spec page for the printer says:
I suggest trying one or both Brother apps already mentioned.
Our whole household is having this issue since all devices were updated to ios/ipad 17 OS, it’s beyond annoying and frustrating that Apple hasn’t fixed this issue with an update yet. Apparently tons of folks have the same problem, printing works briefly if I toggle private network on/of but then just sits idle again for the next 24h or so. 😡
